Hello music lovers! Welcome to another issue of PA Musician MaXgazine. This summer is flying by like a time warp! If you’ve got FOMO, then you came to the right place.
Do you feel like summer is passing you by? Like all your friends are doing more stuff than you? Like you just can’t seem to have any fun? Well guess what — look no further, because we’ve got the cure.
Packed in these pages, you’ll find events for all shapes and sizes. Every genre your heart desires — from outdoor, open-air, music-blasting festivals to indoor shows, big and small. Full bands, acoustic duos, open mics, maybe even some good food to go with it. Find it all right here in the pages of PA Musician Magazine.
Reverb has an action-packed schedule, starting with Imposters in Effect, a Beastie Boys tribute, on July 12th. That’s followed by Tyler Rick w/ Tyler Short on July 18th. Then on the 26th, it’s Nimrod (Green Day tribute) and Doubtful (No Doubt tribute). Don’t miss Little Mania Midget Wrestling on the 30th! Upcoming events include Attack Attack, The Union Underground/Spineshank, Mushroomhead, and more. Check out reverbconcerts.com for the full lineup and details.
Shermans Creek Inn, where there’s never a cover charge, could cure your FOMO all by itself. They’ve got something special almost every night of the week. If you’re there seeing a band, remember — it cost you zero to get in, so please tip your bartenders and staff, and grab some great food while you’re at it. This month, they’ve got Ed Alison on the 3rd, Stan Hoke and Dan Fry under the tent on the 11th followed inside by IFBY 5, and Line Dancing on the 13th with Luke Miller under the tent. Bike Night with Colin Alvarez rolls in on the 17th, so dust off that two-wheeled beast and enjoy the music. Then bring it back dirty for the Bikini Bike Wash on the 19th from 1–5pm with Jake Owen under the tent and Love Rocket from 8–11 inside. Mama’s Horns plays on the 18th, followed by Adult Naughty Bingo on the 20th. Jeep Night takes over on the 24th. And don’t miss karaoke, open mic nights, trivia, free jukebox nights, and Ragged Grace closing the month on the 29th. And that’s just July! Troy and the team are always supporting live music and finding new ways to keep the good times rolling.
Racehorse Tavern is another great venue where you’ll find live music, pool tables, and a new 3-season patio with acoustic acts happening all the time. This month kicks off with Linda Kopp on the acoustic patio on July 5th, followed by a Car & Bike Show on the 6th. On the 11th, it’s Brickyard Road, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute, and on the 12th, Strange Souls brings you The Doors reimagined. Wyatt Becker Band takes the stage on the 18th, followed by the mighty Steel on the 19th. Nick from 717 Entertainment brings in Green Jellÿ on the 24th as part of The Good, The Bad, and The Jelly Tour. Then it’s TGIR on the 25th, and Scotty Austin — former singer of Saving Abel — on the 26th for a special charity show raising money for Autism York.
These are just three of the many venues where you can find live music every weekend. Flip through the pages of the magazine, find something fun, and go do it!
