Hello music lovers! September is upon us and Fall is on the doorstep so let get out and enjoy it! It’s another busy month for the Central PA music scene so lets get into it.
At Racehorse Tavern, the month is packed with action, starting with a burlesque performance by the Angel Harts Revue on the 5th, followed by the Summer Dreams Tour featuring Brenden Star, Heads or Tails Experience, and Sugar Hysteria on the 6th. On the 11th, 717 Entertainment presents Eyes Set to Kill with Glasswaves, Atlas at Hold, and Twist It. Stonewood takes the stage on the 12th, followed by our September cover feature, Emily’s Toybox, on the 13th. The debut of Metal Asylum hits on the 19th with James Rivera of Helstar, plus members of Denim and Leather, joined by Electric Circus and Chaos Ascending. Bad Mojo rocks the 20th, and the month closes out with the Damage Control Tour featuring Exit Wounds on the 21st, Gun Metal Gray on the 26th, and Out of Nowhere on the 27th. WOW! Be sure to get out and support Jim and his team this month!
Pappy T’s keeps the live music going every Friday and Saturday. Things kick off with TJ Chupick on the 5th and The DooDads on the 6th. Vince Rollins plays on the 12th, followed by a Customer Appreciation Day on the 13th from 1–7pm. This outdoor picnic includes an Open Mic from 2–6pm, with Better Than Nothing performing from 8:30–11pm. A $10 wristband gets you into the barbecue picnic, plus non-alcoholic drinks and select draft beers. Bring your own chairs and canopies to enjoy the day!
Pappy T’s is also hosting an End of Summer Bike Ride-In on Sept. 28th from 1–6pm, with food and drink specials, $2.50 lager drafts, giveaways, sweet bikes, and live music by Scott Carl. This will also be the last weekend for Bandana Stamps, so don’t miss it. Pappy T’s is located at 50 Industrial Dr., Hamburg, PA—so dust off that bike and ride down!
Looks like the Capital City Music Hall is ready to roll, with shows starting mid-September. Nick from 717 Entertainment has a trio of heavy hitters lined up for early October. On Oct. 2nd, they’ll kick off the new location with Wise Man’s Fear, WhoTheyFear, and Execution Day. The next night, Oct. 3rd, it’s Cultus Black, Grimm, Suicide Puppets, and Kollektiv. Then on Oct. 4th, the stage will host Fight From Within, Resistor, Left on Red, Smile on the Sinner, No Fight No Victory, and Blood Earth! A powerhouse start for the new Capital City Music Hall as they aim to bring new life to downtown Harrisburg.
