Newport, PA – April 11, 2025 – The beloved Little Buffalo Festival is returning for another vibrant celebration of music, art, food, and community. Organizers are calling on the community to help make this year’s event the best one yet!
We’re currently seeking enthusiastic, community-minded volunteers to help bring the 2025 Little Buffalo Festival to life. This all-day event—set in the heart of beautiful Little Buffalo State Park—is powered by volunteers who share a passion for the arts and a love for their community. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and joyful atmosphere of the festival.
Volunteer roles include but not limited to:- Event setup and breakdown – Greeting and assisting festival guests – Parking and traffic control- Artist and performer support – Kid’s area helpers
– Green team (recycling/trash management) – Info & merch booth staffing
Volunteering is a great way to connect with others, support local arts and culture, and be a part of something truly special. Whether you’re able to help out for a few hours or the whole day, we’d love to have you on the team. “Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Little Buffalo Festival,” says Jennifer Auxt, Volunteer Coordinator. “Their passion and commitment are what make this event so special for our community.”
This year, we have a particularly important need for one or two dedicated and energetic individuals to take on the role of Kids Performance Tent Coordinator or Workshop Coordinator. This key volunteer position will be guided by the incredible and passionate long time buffalo, Lara. The coordinators will be responsible for: Developing and organizing engaging and age-appropriate activities and workshops. Recruiting and coordinating additional volunteers to assist with each area.Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all children and adults participating in the activities. Communicating with festival organizers regarding the needs and plans for the Kids Performance Tent or Workshop Areas. Potentially sourcing materials and collaborating with local artisans or educators to lead workshops.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children, is creative and organized, and wants to make a direct and positive impact on the festival experience for families.
