What a crazy four day weekend at Rock The Mountains 2025, between the heat, a passing storm, people and all the music combined made this a memorable one. The festival took place in Cumberland, Maryland. This was their 5th year and continues to grow. They moved the festival to a different location this year that now offers more space and camping from primitive to RV‘s with hook ups. Thursday, July 24th was the campground kick off show with two bands under the pavilion. Friday, Saturday and Sunday the bands began with continuous music between the two stages.
Included in the festival were Pennsylvania bands Hate Grenade, Sweet Desire, Promising Leith, The Fall of Me, Blackened Ground, AKA:Scarecrow Project and Pulse. All giving incredible performances. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to capture all of the bands but I did hear them! The top six national bands performing were Black Stone Cherry, 10 Years, Buckcherry, Saliva, Everclear and Rehab.
It was great seeing parents bringing their children to their first concert experience and able to meet and chat with some of the artists. Several bands paid tribute to Ozzy. Scotty Austin did a tribute to Ozzy as he went down into the crowd and sang, “Mamma, I’m Coming Home” as the crowd sang along.
The brief storm on Saturday provided unexpected entertainment of people playing and sliding it the rain like little kids. You could feel the warmth within everyone come out. They’re doing something right if it keeps growing as it has. If you enjoy music festivals with good food, good people and awesome music this is a must go! As they say, “It’s A Whole Vibe”
